Dates: from 9 May to 22 November 2026
Artist Chiara Camoni, with curator Cecilia Canziani, reimagines the Italy Pavilion at the Tese delle Vergini in the Arsenale as a transformative landscape. The immersive installation combines sculpture, natural elements, reclaimed materials and collective practices to encourage reflection on our relationship with living matter.
The exhibition includes the Dialogues section, curated by Fiammetta Griccioli and Lucia Aspesi, which frames Camoni’s practice alongside historical and contemporary works and documents — from an Etruscan amphora to archive materials and works by artists such as Fausto Melotti and Marisa Merz. Two site-specific commissions enliven the show: Annamaria Ajmone’s performative Fossil Songs and Alice Rohrwacher’s What Remains, which weaves cinematic imagery with sculptural faces.
Venue: Tese delle Vergini, Arsenale, Venice. Dates: 9 May – 22 November 2026. Check the Venice Biennale website or the Italy Pavilion channels for opening hours and ticketing.
The project is promoted by the Directorate-General for Contemporary Creativity of the Ministry of Culture, supported by ZEGNA (main sponsor) and Banca Ifis, with a catalogue published by NERO Editions.
