The Municipality of Colle di Val d’Elsa launches a new site-specific work by Argentine artist Leandro Erlich. The opening is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, with the artist attending and a public programme.
The project consists of three sand installations placed beneath the arches of the San Francesco bridge in the UMoCA – Under Museum of Contemporary Art space. The works engage with the medieval architecture and reflect on time, memory and the fragility of heritage.
The installations are freely accessible from April 11 and will remain on view until October 2026. The project is organised by Associazione Arte Continua with the patronage of the Tuscany Region and the municipalities of Poggibonsi, San Gimignano and Colle di Val d’Elsa, as part of local cultural enhancement efforts.
Venue: UMoCA – beneath the arches of the San Francesco bridge, Colle di Val d’Elsa.
Opening date: April 11, 2026.
This initiative offers an immersive encounter between historic context and contemporary practice. Recommended for visitors interested in public art, site-specific installations and community-focused projects about the theme of time.
