Cardboard VR viewers: Clusone tells its story in virtual reality

Clusone has introduced compact cardboard viewers into which visitors insert their smartphones to launch a virtual tour of the main monuments, with a highlight on the Fanzago Clock. The initiative aims to make the discovery of the historic village more accessible, engaging and suitable for educational use.

How the tour works

By placing a phone inside the cardboard viewer, users access immersive content combining 360° panoramas and 3D reconstructions of points of interest. Each stop includes descriptive sheets and contextual materials to aid historical and artistic understanding.

Main features

  • Lightweight and portable: cardboard viewers designed for the general public and schools.
  • Interactive content: 360° views, 3D models and educational quizzes to engage younger audiences.
  • Accessibility: a practical solution for people with limited mobility or those unable to visit in person.
  • Territorial promotion: viewers can be used at fairs, educational routes and events to showcase local heritage.

Practical information

The viewers were developed with a digital communication studio and are available at the Infopoint Visit Clusone for an approximate price of €13. The project is part of inclusive cultural itinerary initiatives and aligns with the local strategy to promote sustainable tourism in the Val Seriana.

Intended audience

  • Visitors seeking an immersive preview before an on-site visit.
  • Schools and teachers interested in educational and workshop activities.
  • Tourism operators looking for innovative promotion tools.
