Turin paid tribute to Claudio Baglioni with an official ceremony held in the Sala Rossa of Palazzo Civico. The artist received a commemorative certificate recognizing his career and the decision to end the GrandTour, celebrating 40 years of the album "La vita è adesso," in the city.
City representatives attended the event, including the mayor, the president of the municipal council and the councillor for Major Events and Tourism. The meeting highlighted Baglioni’s long-standing connection with Turin, built over more than fifty years of concerts and cultural engagements.
Choosing Palazzo Civico for the tribute and Piazza San Carlo for the tour finale emphasizes Turin’s role in combining monumental heritage with large public events. Throughout his career Baglioni has performed at iconic local venues such as the Olympic Stadium, Teatro Regio and the Giovanni Agnelli Auditorium.
This tribute at Palazzo Civico highlights how monuments and public squares remain vital stages for major cultural events, enhancing Turin’s historical assets and offering the public a chance to experience monumental sites in a contemporary cultural context.
