In the hills of Val d’Aso, in Le Marche, there is a place that feels like it came straight out of a surreal film: Cantina Antisociale. One of the most respected wine bars in Italy… hidden inside the former car wash of a gas station. By day, the owner, Simone Roberti, is a gas station attendant like any other; by night, he takes on the role of host and opens the doors to his kingdom of fine bottles.
The atmosphere is intimate and genuine, with a counter that tells stories of vineyards and a carefully curated selection of Italian and international labels. An absolute must-try is a glass of Pecorino DOCG paired with artisanal cured meats and cheeses from the Marche hills: a combination that captures the very soul of the region.
Cantina Antisociale is located in Val d’Aso, Le Marche—inside the former car wash of a gas station along the provincial roads.
