Campiglia Marittima and Val di Cornia: growth and strategy

Campiglia Marittima stands out among Tuscan villages: in 2025 the area recorded an increase of about 20,000 stays (+11%), approaching 200,000 arrivals. This reflects growing interest in slow, experiential tourism that highlights nature, heritage and local products year-round.

FAM Trip and international outreach

From 19 to 22 April 2026 a FAM Trip will host international wedding planners, particularly active in the U.S. market. The initiative is designed to showcase the Tuscan coast beyond well-known circuits, promoting the area for Destination Weddings and high-end events.

  • Visits to the historic villages of Campiglia Marittima, Suvereto and Populonia;
  • Experiences in the Gulf of Baratti and at Calidario Etruscan Spa;
  • Tastings and tours at wineries such as Petra and Tenuta Casadei;
  • Exploration of historic residences and reception venues.

Local networking: the cooperative model

The association AmaCampigliaMarittima, active since 2020, coordinates private operators and local institutions to build a territorial brand. The aim is to deliver quality experiences, extend the tourist season, and attract international demand.

Outlook and upcoming events

Plans include launching a territorial wedding fair in the coming year: a B2B event to reinforce the Costa degli Etruschi as a premier destination for exclusive weddings.

Practical information for operators and visitors

  • Event period: 19-22 April 2026;
  • Audience: international wedding planners, tourism operators, hospitality professionals;
  • Recommendation for villages: invest in local networks, experience-based offers and targeted international promotion to boost year-round visibility and arrivals.
