From April 18 to June 20, 2026, Galleria Fidanda in Livorno presents "Disconnected", a solo exhibition by Andrea Luschi. The show focuses on the tension between physical presence and emotional isolation within everyday scenes, expressed through figurative oil painting.
The works originate from digital sketches used to define compositional structures and are later developed through oil on canvas. A selection of these preparatory studies is on display, providing insight into the artist's creative process.
"Disconnected" starts from observing shared environments — public transport, transit spaces and communal areas — where figures coexist without truly connecting. Luschi composes images that capture a quiet beauty and contemporary solitude, developing a visual language that dialogues with narrative painting traditions.
Born in Livorno in 1978 and based in Barcelona for over twenty years, Andrea Luschi works mainly in oil paint. His practice investigates intimacy and alienation, and how technology increasingly mediates everyday relationships.
This exhibition is recommended for visitors interested in contemporary reflections rendered through a painterly approach, and for those who wish to explore the relationship between digital studies and painted surfaces in a focused solo presentation.
