Campania boosts cultural funding

President Fico and Councillor Cutaia state that “investment in culture is a priority asset for territories, for economic and social development.” In preparing the 2026–2028 regional management budget, the administration has allocated additional resources for cinema, audiovisuals and live performance.

• Live performance: an additional €2 million to the fund established by regional law 6/2007;
• Cinema: budget increased from €5 million to €6 million under regional law 30/2016;
• Governance and calls: open and transparent calls for the Trianon Viviani and the Donnaregina Foundation and a new governance structure for regionally owned cultural companies.

The regional administration says these measures are part of a coherent strategy to support cultural policies and to mobilize local creative energies, with positive feedback from AGIS Campania.

Next steps include implementing the calls, monitoring project outcomes and promoting participation by young people and local cultural operators.
