Campania: National Day of Historic Houses — 24 May 2026
On Sunday 24 May 2026, Campania takes part in the 16th National Day of Historic Houses with 22 free openings. The event, promoted by ADSI (Association of Historic Houses of Italy), allows visitors to explore privately owned palaces, villas and gardens of notable historical and architectural value.
The 2026 theme, "Guardians of the Future", highlights the responsibility to protect and pass on historic residences as key elements of cultural identity.
What to see
Free tours and visits will give access to spaces not usually open to the public. Notable openings in Campania include:
- Avellino province: Tenute Casoli; Palazzo Iorio di Candida; Palazzo Ducale Pignatelli della Leonessa (San Martino Valle Caudina).
- Benevento province: Villa Laura; Palazzo Jelardi (home to the Advertising Museum).
- Caserta province: Tenuta San Domenico; Palazzo Lanza.
- Naples metropolitan area: Villa Preziosa; Palazzo Cappuccini; Palazzo Capece; Odeon Neapolis; Astapiana Villa Giusso (Vico Equense).
- Salerno province: Palazzo Ricci; Palazzo Magnoni; Palazzo Fimiani; the Giardino Segreto dell'Anima (Tramonti).
