Buongiorno Ceramica! 2026: a two-day celebration of ceramic art across Italy

When: Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 May 2026.

Buongiorno Ceramica! is back for its twelfth edition, turning towns and villages into open-air workshops for a weekend. Promoted by the Italian Association of Ceramic Towns (AiCC), the event brings together 60 municipalities that open their workshops, museums, schools and exhibition spaces with a packed programme.

Visitors can watch production stages, join hands-on workshops for adults and children, visit exhibitions and installations, attend live demonstrations and performances, and take part in guided tours and talks designed to highlight local ceramic heritage.

Types of activities on offer:

  • Practical and educational workshops for all ages;
  • Temporary exhibitions and museum collections dedicated to ceramics;
  • Live demonstrations and artisans’ performances;
  • Guided tours of workshops and studios;
  • Food and wine events linked to ceramic culture and meetings with master ceramists.

Notable participating towns include Castellamonte with its international terracotta whistle exhibition-competition, Faenza with traditional events such as the Ceramist’s Breakfast and Aperitif, Albissola Marina and Albisola Superiore hosting exhibitions and photographic projects, Bassano del Grappa with activities at Palazzo Sturm, as well as Nove, Savona and many other centres that reflect the country’s diverse ceramic traditions and contemporary experimentation.

Why attend: the weekend is a chance to see ancient techniques and new creative languages up close, meet the artisans who pass on their skills, and discover emerging designers and artists. The event highlights the connection between ceramic craftsmanship and the territories that preserve it, offering thematic routes and discovery trails suitable for families, enthusiasts and visitors.

The full programme and updates are published on the event’s official website. Check details in advance, book activities that require registration and prepare for a weekend immersed in the history and creativity of Italian ceramics.
