The renowned Italian jewellery house has launched a plan to repurpose the former E-42 restaurant in the EUR district into a hub for high-jewellery training. The project includes establishing an Academy for artisanal skills, a museum dedicated to jewellery techniques and areas open to the public.
The building involved is a historic white-marble complex of around 3,000 square metres across three floors, located close to the Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana. The initiative aims to restore and enhance the heritage site while hosting educational and cultural activities.
Operationally, the Academy will focus on passing down specialised craftsmanship: producing a high-end piece typically requires hundreds to thousands of manual hours. Planned facilities include workshops, classrooms, an exhibition route and public zones for events and guided visits.
The initiative forms part of a broader urban regeneration approach for the district, aiming to strengthen Rome’s position as an international hub for high-level craftsmanship and creative industries. For visitors, the new Academy will add a cultural and educational attraction linked to EUR’s architectural heritage.
Practical note: for updates on openings, visiting hours and educational programmes, check the official channels of the facility and the City of Rome in the coming years.
