Aprile Arte in Barzanò: program and highlights

The municipality of Barzanò hosts several weeks of art events, including solo shows, illustrated works and a hands-on workshop for children. Key exhibitions feature Filippo Brunello and Elena Morlacchi, alongside additional appointments extending into early May.

Main exhibitions

  • Filippo Brunello — "The Colour of Words. Illustrations and Other Adventures"

    A solo show gathering illustrations, original plates for books and calendars, and large-format paintings. The exhibition covers Brunello's work for children's publishing and his studio pieces.

    Venue: Canonica di San Salvatore

    Opening hours: Sunday 10:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00; Thursday 10:00–12:00; Saturday 14:00–18:00. Opening on Saturday 11 April at 16:00.

  • Elena Morlacchi — "Journey among rocks, ice and desert"

    Illustrated plates depicting mountain landscapes and remote terrains, accompanied by poems by Raffaella Valsecchi. The show emphasizes linework and the dialogue between word and image.

    Venue: Municipal Library, via Pirovano 5

    Opening hours: Monday, Wednesday and Friday 15:00–18:00; Thursday 10:00–12:00; Saturday 09:00–12:00 and 14:30–16:30; Sunday 10:00–12:00.

Children's workshop

Saturday 18 April 2026, 15:00 — Municipal Library, via Pirovano 5. Workshop by Associazione Molo: "Circles of Colour. Making colourful circles and spinning tops" with Roberta Pizzagalli. Recommended ages 4–10.
