Bari Municipality IV issues call for cultural events tied to traditional festivities

Municipality IV of Bari has published a public notice to support project proposals for cultural events and performances linked to the main traditional celebrations across its four neighbourhoods. The initiative aims to promote local traditions, support regional artists and foster community participation and social cohesion.

• Loseto – musical event for the feast of Saint George Martyr (second half of April).
• Santa Rita – theatrical or cabaret performance on the occasion of the patronal celebration (second half of May).
• Carbonara – concert for the celebrations of Saint Michael the Archangel (second half of October).
• Ceglie del Campo – theatrical or cabaret show during the celebrations of the Madonna del Buterrito (second half of October).

The financial contribution will cover up to 80% of the event deficit, with a maximum of €2,000 per appointment. Eligible applicants are those registered in the Municipality's cultural and entertainment operators register and meeting the requirements set by the municipal regulation on cultural activity grants.

Applications must be submitted by 12:00 on April 15 via certified email (PEC) or delivered in person to the Municipality IV Protocol Office (Monday to Friday, 10:00–12:00). Maria Chiara Addabbo, president of Municipality IV, emphasizes that supporting these events is intended to strengthen neighbourhood identity and provide meaningful opportunities for local engagement and cultural promotion.
