When: 24 April – 14 June 2026
Where: Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, Rome
Aura Satz, a Spanish‑British artist working across film, sound and installation, debuts her first solo exhibition in Italy titled She Recalibrates / Lei ricalibra. The show highlights women’s often overlooked role in the history of electronic music through film portraits, audio works and a series of drawings that translate sonic gestures into visual form.
The exhibition offers a feminist and critical reading of electronic music history and invites visitors to actively "recalibrate" their listening. Works combine archival research and poetic inquiry, proposing fresh perspectives on sound production and musical technologies.
Opening hours: free entry Monday–Friday 16:00–20:00; Sundays and holidays 11:00–20:00.
Concurrently, at the Spanish Academy in Rome the audio work Dial Tone Drone (2014) — a telephone conversation between Laurie Spiegel and Pauline Oliveros — will be available in the Salone dei Ritratti from 22 April.
Visitor tip: the show rewards attentive listening; allow time to watch the videos in full and to move around the installations to perceive the lenticular and spatial effects.
