Arte Fiera Bologna returns from 6 to 8 February 2026 in pavilions 25 and 26 of the Bologna Exhibition Centre for its 49th edition, confirming its status as one of the most important events for modern and contemporary art in Italy. Founded in 1974, it is the longest-running fair in the country and has been a point of reference for collectors, artists, gallery owners, critics and enthusiasts for over fifty years.
The 2026 edition, entitled “Cosa sarà?” (What will it be?), inaugurates a new phase under the artistic direction of Davide Ferri and the operational direction of Enea Righi, with the aim of combining tradition and experimentation and exploring the different expressions of Italian and international contemporary art.
Over 170 galleries will be present at the fair, together with publishers and institutional spaces, for a total of around 200 exhibitors. The exhibition will be divided into several curated sections, including the Main Section, Photography and Surroundings, Multiples, Painting XXI, Perspective, Twentieth+ and Publishing and Institutions, offering a broad and articulated vision of current artistic research.
Parallel to the fair, the city will host ART CITY Bologna, with exhibitions and events throughout the city, and Art City White Night, a night dedicated to art with special openings and performances throughout Bologna.
