A symbol of creativity and innovation in the Italian art scene, Arte Fiera Bologna returns for its 49th edition, from 6 to 8 February 2026 in pavilions 25 and 26 of the Bologna Exhibition Centre, confirming its role as a benchmark for Italian contemporary art.

Founded in 1974, Arte Fiera is Italy's longest-running modern and contemporary art fair. For over half a century, it has been an unmissable event for collectors, critics, gallery owners, artists and enthusiasts.

The 2026 edition, entitled “Cosa sarà?” (What will be?), marks a new phase under the guidance of Artistic Director Davide Ferri and Operations Director Enea Righi, with the aim of combining tradition and innovation and exploring the many facets of contemporary Italian and international art.
Arte Fiera, which features over 170 Italian and international galleries, together with institutional spaces and publishers dedicated to visual culture, for a total of around 200 exhibitors at the fair, is divided into several curated and selected sections, designed to offer a rich and varied experience, namely:

In addition to the exhibitions on display in the pavilions, Bologna will come alive with ART CITY Bologna, a programme of exhibitions, events and initiatives spread throughout the city. The event will also feature Art City White Night, a night of art with events, special openings and cultural performances in public and private venues.

The Bologna Exhibition Centre is easily accessible from the station, as Bologna Centrale is about 10 minutes from BolognaFiere by bus (lines 35 and 38), from the motorway (take the Bologna Fiera exit from the A14), and from the airport (direct connection to the station via the Marconi Express).
