Belgian artist Arne Quinze brings a dual project to OCA – Oasi Dynamo in San Marcello Piteglio, combining a site-specific landscape installation with a gallery-based painting exhibition. The initiative pairs Ceramorphia, conceived to dialogue with the Apennine landscape, and the solo show I'm a Gardener inside the reserve's exhibition space.
Ceramorphia uses ceramic components to reshape organic forms and sprouts, prompting reflection on how human intervention redefines ecosystems and turning the reserve's trail into an immersive experience. At the same time, the solo show gathers canvases and paintings that investigate chromatic tensions and layering, conveying the vital energy of the human–biodiversity relationship.
OCA's curatorial route emphasizes direct interaction between artwork and site: Quinze's intervention complements other structures within the reserve, from Kengo Kuma's pavilion to other site-specific works that weave together poetry, architecture and contemporary technologies.
Visitor tips: wear appropriate clothing and footwear for trails, as the route crosses woods and clearings; multiple vantage points along the way encourage observation and contemplation.
OCA continues to evolve as a living project: new installations may appear along the path, expanding the dialogue between artwork and landscape and inviting visitors to reconsider the relationship between human-made spaces and nature.
