Gallerie d'Italia, located in central Milan, hosts a tribute exhibition dedicated to Arnaldo Pomodoro on the occasion of the centenary of his birth. The retrospective highlights the artist's development through an installation designed to trace his stylistic evolution from early works to later experiments.
The exhibition presents approximately 40 selected works that document Pomodoro's various creative phases, covering more than sixty years of activity. Selected archival materials accompany the works to provide biographical and critical context.
The show is curated by Luca Massimo Barbero and Federico Giani, who adopt a chronological and critical approach to help visitors follow the artist's stylistic development.
The retrospective is suitable for visitors familiar with Pomodoro's work as well as newcomers to contemporary Italian sculpture. It offers a concise and informative overview to understand the recurring themes and techniques that define his production.
