Fondazione Torino Musei events — April 2026

From 11 to 16 April 2026 the Fondazione Torino Musei hosts a series of events across MAO, GAM and Palazzo Madama: a site-specific installation, themed guided visits, conferences and book presentations. Below is the calendar with practical details to attend.

Main events

• Saturday 11 April — MAO: Bekhbaatar Enkhtur in dialogue with the Himalayan section

  From 11 April 2026 a site-specific work by Mongolian artist Bekhbaatar Enkhtur is on display in the MAO gallery for South-Central Asia and the Himalayan Region. The sculpture, inspired by guardian lions, is shown in relation to the permanent collection.

  Access: visible with the permanent collections ticket and the "Chiharu Shiota. The Soul Trembles" exhibition ticket.

• Saturday 11 April, 11:00 — GAM: SONORA, sound-guided visit to the "Notti" exhibition

  A multisensory tour of "NOTTI. Five centuries of stars, dreams, full moons" with a guide's narration and a musical selection curated by maestro Giovanni Bietti.

• Saturday 11 April, 16:00 — MAO: "Il metronomo in salotto" (guided visit)

  A thematic route through MAO's collections exploring concepts of human and divine time across works of different periods and origins.

• Sunday 12 April, 16:00 — GAM: "Notti poetiche" (special guided visit)

  A sensory itinerary dedicated to love and its forms within the works of the "NOTTI" exhibition.

• Wednesday 15 April, 16:00 — MAO: Poetry, art and dance celebrating Prof. Cinzia Pieruccini's 70th birthday

  A celebratory afternoon with poetic and artistic contributions coordinated by Giuliano Boccali and Chiara Policardi, plus a Bharatanāṭya performance by Lucrezia Maniscotti.

  Admission: free until seats are full. No reservation required.

• Thursday 16 April, 18:00 — MAO: Lecture "The sea in a stone. Sapphires" (Bagliori d'Oriente cycle)

  Sherif El Sebaie examines the ritual use and symbolic meaning of sapphires in Indo-Tibetan contexts and in European courts.

• Thursday 16 April, 17:00 — GAM: Presentation of volumes on Giulio Paolini

  Presentation of the books "Giulio Paolini, Eccomi. Qui dove sono" and "0424. The twenty years of the Giulio and Anna Paolini Foundation" with speakers Bettina Della Casa, Fabio Belloni, Fabio Cafagna and Elena Volpato.
