9 April 2026 — Rocca San Giovanni strengthens its role in local heritage promotion: mayor Fabio Caravaggio has been elected to the interregional Board of the association that coordinates the certified villages network for Abruzzo and Molise.
The appointment increases the town’s influence in regional strategies and assigns clear roles to local representatives:
The new Board, recently presented in Pescara, brings together administrators and delegates from several municipalities across Abruzzo and Molise to strengthen institutional collaboration and promote shared development strategies.
Represented municipalities include: Oratino, Casoli, Scanno, Pettorano sul Gizio, Sepino, Navelli, Anversa degli Abruzzi and Civitella del Tronto.
Key priorities of the Board are:
The mayor states that joining the Board is a strategic responsibility to craft initiatives that highlight local excellence and generate added value for the villages network. Collaborative work within the legislative committee aims to deliver practical proposals for urban quality, tourism and hospitality improvements.
