The cultural season titled "In the Time of the Gods" starts on Saturday at the Libarna archaeological area. The programme mixes archaeological walks, themed guided tours, theatre shows, dance performances and musical events designed to enhance the site and provide immersive historical experiences.
The opening appointment, called "Stories of Water: the forms of water in the ancient Roman city of Libarna", includes a guided walk at 15:00 led by Valentina Barberis (director of the archaeological area), Paolo De Vingo (professor of Christian and medieval archaeology), Cristina Porro and Melania Cazzulo (archaeologists from the Libarna Arteventi association) together with staff from the regional direction of the National Museums of Piedmont. At 17:00 Libarna Arteventi offers a free visit to the municipal palace area of Serravalle.
The series aims to strengthen the relationship between the archaeological site and the local community by offering thematic routes and performances that bring the past to life. For the full programme and organisational details visit: www.scoprilibarna.it.
