Ancona unveils summer program to boost commerce and tourism

The Municipality of Ancona has released its summer events lineup aimed at supporting commercial activities and attracting visitors. The plan relies on stable cultural "pillars" complemented by initiatives originating from local organisations and businesses.

According to the City Councillor for Economic Activities, Alan Canestrari, the approach emphasises listening, planning and cooperation with local operators to build a calendar that meets the needs of residents and tourists alike.

• Music and performances: concerts and themed evenings along the seafront;
• Fireworks and major events: evening highlights to showcase summer liveliness;
• Exhibitions and cultural offerings: temporary shows integrated into the program;
• Community-led events: initiatives proposed by associations and local traders;
• Modular conference spaces: venues for meetings and congresses, with a view to attracting events of over 300 attendees.

The stated aims are to support seasonal businesses and extend the tourist season through quality events. The Municipality is also seeking sponsors and partnerships to strengthen the cultural offer and ensure the sustainability of the program.
