Roots and Visions: Italian design on display at Melegnano Castle

From April 21 to 26, 2026, Melegnano Castle presents a curated selection of objects that shaped Italian design. Organized by the local Confcommercio section in collaboration with the municipality and a regional periodical, the exhibition traces the dialogue between industrial production and design authorship.

Highlights

• Iconic lamps by Kartell and pieces by Artemide that revolutionized domestic lighting;
• Chairs and seating from Cassina, Joe Colombo and other seminal names;
• Famous accessories such as Alessi's "Arlecchino" corkscrew;
• A piece by designer Antonio Lanzillo, winner of the 2020 Compasso d'Oro;
• A collection of about fifty items including seating, lamps, accessories and modular systems.

The exhibition aims to be a journey through memory and imagination, showing how design transforms everyday life by combining form, function and technology.
