Spring brings color to the outskirts of Turin: in Grugliasco the “Tulipani Italiani” field has opened, featuring more than 350,000 tulips arranged in vibrant rows. Modeled on the Dutch tradition, the project offers an immersive u-pick format that allows visitors to cut and collect flowers themselves.
The site is a seasonal destination for families, couples and photography enthusiasts. Visitors are given a bucket and can walk among tulip varieties—from intense reds to bright yellows and purples—creating fresh bouquets on the spot. The display lasts just a few weeks, but has become a popular spring attraction in the region.
Beyond tourism and photography, the initiative supports local growers and highlights how agricultural areas near cities can become cultural meeting places. Grugliasco thus strengthens its role as a hub for seasonal nature-based events that draw visitors from across Piedmont and northern Italy.
