In Fano: "Il Gusto dei Borghi" celebrates the excellence of medieval villages

The event "Il Gusto dei Borghi" took place at the Mediateca "Montanari" in Fano, organized by Confcommercio Marche Nord Pesaro. The gathering showcased local culinary quality, historic village charm and cultural heritage through awards, presentations and community participation.

Awards and local specialties

• Porchetta from Cerasa (Lepri Mirco butcher) and associated cured meats.
• Torta Diplomatica from Cantiano (Del Sole pastry and pizzeria).
• Vincisgrassi (a baked lasagna specialty) and premium extra virgin olive oil from Cartoceto (Pro Loco collaboration).
• "Oltremondo" beer from the "Birrificio Contadino" project in Montemaggiore al Metauro (Rupoli frazione, Orciano di Pesaro).

The program also honored cultural figures such as Marta Marchetti, director of the Winston Churchill Museum in Montemaggiore al Metauro, and featured historical reenactors from "The Green Liners" of Fossombrone.

• Pietro Briganti, mayor of Colli al Metauro; Loretta Manocchi, deputy mayor of Fano.
• Sport and tourism representatives, including Fabio Luna (CONI Marche) and Alghiero Omicioli (national contact for Giro d'Italia stages).
• Col. Marco Ferrara, commander of the 28th "Pavia" Regiment in Pesaro.

The event was coordinated by Sergio Ferri with musical support from Luca Valentino. Local TV stations were also recognized for promoting territorial identity.
