Vivicittà Palermo: 10 km through the Favorita Park

The historic Vivicittà event returns to Palermo for its 42nd edition: approximately 450 athletes are expected to run a 10-kilometre loop entirely inside Parco della Favorita. The race starts from Stadio delle Palme “Vito Schifani” with a simultaneous kick-off linked to Radio 1 at 9:30.

The route

The single 10 km lap crosses several notable areas of the Favorita: Case Rocca, via Ercole, viale Diana, the Palazzina Cinese and the Museo Pitrè. The course is scenic yet technical, suitable for various fitness levels.

Athletes and participation

The field includes past winners and local favorites aiming for repeat wins, together with long-time competitors and masters. The event also features athletes with significant regional and national records.

Inclusion and national format

Vivicittà maintains a strong inclusive approach: participants include Fisdir athletes and three competitors over 80, demonstrating sport for all ages. The event uses a single national compensated ranking, calculated with altitude coefficients; a special classification for journalists is also provided.
