The Mazzacana Gallery presents the new exhibition by Vittorio Asteriti, a project that brings together minimalist painting and digital formats: from the opening, six smartphone wallpapers created by the artist will be available on the gallery's website, and an installation of phones displaying the wallpapers will be installed in the exhibition space.

Working with the repetition of the line and chromatic variation, Asteriti develops an essential painting in which color becomes the protagonist. The works present sequences of vertical stripes of varying width and intensity that invite both a close-up reading (where the painted material is evident) and a distant view (where the overall optical vibration emerges). The exhibition encourages visitors to shift their attention from individual sections to the entire composition, exploring the temporal dimension of perception.

Notes on the artist

Vittorio Asteriti (Crotone, 1984) studied arts disciplines and the history of contemporary art. His practice privileges the synthesis of line and color: through modulations of saturation and intensity he builds visual fields that prompt a meditative engagement with the pictorial space. His professional experience includes solo and group exhibitions in Italian and international venues, and works held in private collections.
