Guided tours: "Qui si fa l'Italia. The image of the hero from Bistolfi to Baroni"

As part of the antique market and the Golosaria event, the Museum is offering two guided tours of the exhibition "Qui si fa l'Italia. The image of the hero from Bistolfi to Baroni", scheduled for May 10 and May 16, 2026 at 16:00.

The exhibition explores the representation of the hero from the early years of unified Italy to the post‑World War I period, highlighting a more rhetorical, classicizing style. Works by Bistolfi and Eugenio Baroni are shown alongside paintings and sculptures by Gaetano Previati, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Plinio Nomellini, Libero Andreotti and Eliseo Sala.

  • Dates & time: May 10, 2026 and May 16, 2026, at 16:00.

  • Ticket prices:
    • Full: €8
    • Reduced: €5 (65+, students aged 16-24, Coop members, Touring members)
    • School-age visitors and Museum Pass holders: €4 guided-tour fee (entry free)
  • Highlights: the exhibition includes works from donations and loans, notably pieces from the "Martelli-Bistolfi 2021/2023" donation, with drawings, bas-reliefs and plaster sculptures, some restored and previously unpublished.
  • Scientific committee: Sandra Berresford, Leo Lecci and Aurora Scotti.
