Explore the historic rooms and archaeological finds of one of Rome’s oldest administrative sites. The guided tour traces Palazzo Senatorio’s past, from ancient remains to representative civic spaces.

What the tour includes

The itinerary starts at the ceremonial entrance known as Sisto IV’s gate, continues with the remains of the Temple of Veiove, visits key halls used by the Capitoline administration and ends at the Vignola stairway.

• Approximate schedule: tours carried out during the day between 10:00 and 17:45;
• Content: archaeology, art history, monumental architecture and the administrative heritage of the Capitoline Hill;
• Language: Italian (other language groups may be available upon request when booking).

Practical information

• Date and time: 5 April 2026, from 10:00 to 17:45;
• Meeting point: entrance to Palazzo Senatorio from via Sisto IV, near the column with the she-wolf statue;
• Ticket: activity and entry free of charge for all visitors;
• Participants: maximum 30 people per session;
• Reservation: mandatory by calling the Contact Center at 060608 (daily 09:00–19:00). Reservations open Thursday 2 April at 16:00;
• Accessibility: please notify when booking if a visitor has mobility impairments to arrange appropriate assistance;
