Easter weekend at MAXXI: openings and highlights

Featured exhibitions
The museum offers a varied programme focused on contemporary art and multidisciplinary research. Key exhibitions include:
- Tragicomica. Italian art from the late 20th century to today – curated by Andrea Bellini and Francesco Stocchi: a broad survey spanning visual arts, cinema, theatre and literature, with around 300 works by over 130 artists.
- The archive of Segno magazine (1976–2026) – a dedicated focus on the magazine archive recently added to the museum's holdings.
- Franco Battiato. Another life – an exhibition celebrating the musician's artistic and intellectual legacy.
- Roma nel Mondo (urban planning project, on view until 26 April) and the Luigi Pellegrin focus (until 19 April).
- BREATHE DISSOLVE RETURN – the cine-concert by William Kentridge and Philip Miller (gallery 5, until 6 April).
- Collezione MAXXI: The Large Glass – the renewed display of the museum's collection.
- MILAN UNIT (video gallery) – a large installation-archive of Ramak Fazel’s photographic and documentary work.
Guided tours and practical activities
Guided tours are scheduled during the Easter long weekend for selected exhibitions. Sample appointments:

- Sunday 5 April, 11:30 – guided tour of Franco Battiato. Another life.
- Monday 6 April, 11:30 – guided tour of Collezione MAXXI: The Large Glass.

Upcoming event
Following the holidays, the talk Paolo Di Paolo. The rediscovered photographer takes place on 7 April at 18:00 (auditorium), with free entry until seats are exhausted.
