Guided visit: "This Is Where Italy Is Made" — The Image of the Hero from Bistolfi to Baroni

The Museo Civico e Gipsoteca Bistolfi in Casale Monferrato offers a guided tour of the exhibition This Is Where Italy Is Made. The Image of the Hero from Bistolfi to Baroni, which traces how the figure of the hero was represented in Italian visual culture from the post-unification period to the early postwar years.

The exhibition juxtaposes sculptural and pictorial works by notable artists such as Leonardo Bistolfi and Eugenio Baroni, alongside pieces by Gaetano Previati, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Plinio Nomellini, Libero Andreotti, and Eliseo Sala. A selection of drawings, bas-reliefs and plaster casts from the "Martelli-Bistolfi 2021/2023" donation, restored for the show, enriches the presentation.
