From 23 March to 30 April the Casa Museo Boncompagni Ludovisi in Rome presents the photographic exhibition Turbanti. The show examines the intersections of fashion, identity and inclusion through portraits that highlight individuality and transform headwear into a symbol of strength and recognition.
Turbanti stems from a collaboration between academic training, creative practice and social inclusion. Students from the Fashion Styling & Communication course designed unique headpieces which were then modeled and photographed by members of the Modelli si Nasce association. The portraits aim to emphasise personality, strengths and vulnerabilities with a respectful, person-centred approach.
The exhibition offers a fresh perspective on fashion as a means of personal expression and inclusion. It highlights how museums, educational institutions and the third sector can work together to create culturally meaningful projects with social impact.
The show is hosted within the museum directed by Maria Giuseppina Di Monte and is part of the network linked to the Istituto Pantheon and Castel Sant'Angelo – National Museums Directorate of the City of Rome. Institutional representatives took part in the presentation, underlining the cultural relevance of the initiative.
Visitors interested in the opening or planning a visit should check the museum's official opening times and access rules. The layout emphasises dialogue between imagery, fashion and inclusion within a historic museum setting.
