Magazzino Muse presents Transparencies, a new installation by Roman artist Isabella Corda that examines the interplay between body, material and memory. The work centres on plexiglass panels bound with cords: simple components whose movement and tension alter shadows and spatial perception.
Corda revisits manual practices and bodily gestures—referring to karada, the Japanese word for "body"—turning material into a record of the actions that shape it. The knots on the panels recall artisanal traditions and create a balance between technical precision and personal narrative, described by the organisers as more of a "static dance" than a fixed choreography.
The exhibition frames transparency not merely as absence of colour but as a material that keeps traces, projects shadows and recalls bodily memory. It is recommended for visitors interested in contemporary sculpture and reflective installations that connect form and lived experience.
