Fondazione Querini Stampalia hosts "Fragile Forces W", a new project by Thomas De Falco presented during the 61st Venice Art Biennale. The work combines textile sculpture, performance and installation to explore fragility as a generative force in today’s social landscape.
The project features textile sculptures made in New York in early 2026 and live actions that turn weaving gestures into theatrical presence. De Falco works with the wrapping technique—knots and wrappings that form enveloping surfaces and sculptural bodies—using natural fibres such as wool, cotton, linen and silk.
To fully experience De Falco's work, attend the performance if possible (limited seating) and spend time observing the textiles and the interplay between bodies and space. Pay attention to materiality: natural fibres and handcrafted gestures are crucial to the aesthetic impact.
