From 20 to 26 April 2026 the Galleria d'Arte Moderna Il Castello in Milan presents The Nature of Time, an exhibition examining the connections between Japanese aesthetics and the concept of time. The show features works and installations that investigate the relationship between natural landscapes, timekeeping and temporal perception.
The event is part of Milano Design Week 2026 and includes Grand Seiko as Official Timekeeper, establishing a visual and conceptual bridge between traditional Japanese art and contemporary design practices.
The exhibition, curated by three leading figures of contemporary Japanese art, presents a variety of media—from sculpture to site-specific installations—inviting visitors to reflect on the passage of time within natural and cultural contexts.
