Stramilano 2026 in Milan: key information

The long-standing Milan running event takes place on Sunday, 3 May 2026, turning city streets into a day of sport, community and inclusion. The program suits competitive runners, casual participants and families, including a dedicated children’s route.

Routes and schedule

  • Half Marathon (21.097 km) – competitive race, starts at 08:30 from Piazza Castello. Suited to experienced runners and dedicated amateurs.
  • Stramilano 10 km – non-competitive run, starts at 10:00 from Piazza Duomo; open to everyone who wants to enjoy the city on foot.
  • Stramilanina (5 km) – family and children’s route, starts at 10:30; a friendly way to introduce youngsters to running.

Route highlights and finish line

The courses pass through iconic Milan locations such as San Babila, Corso Venezia and Piazza XXIV Maggio. Non-competitive races finish at the Arco della Pace, a celebrated landmark and a fitting spot for the event's festive finale.

Services and Athlete Village

The Athlete Village in Piazza Castello provides essential services for participants and families: medical assistance, bag drop and recovery areas. It’s the central spot for bib pickup and event information before and after the races.

Family-friendly atmosphere and practical tips

Stramilano blends competition with popular participation and supports social initiatives through local volunteer groups. Practical tips for families planning to join or spectate:

  • arrive early to locate meeting points and access the Athlete Village;
  • check routes and start times in advance to organise city travel;
  • bring appropriate clothing and shoes, especially for children taking part in the Stramilanina.

The presence of an official event patron adds prestige to the day, which remains a welcoming city celebration designed for families to share an active, communal experience.
