Siena: Vivi Fortezza 2026 spring opening

From April 30 to May 3, 2026 the Fortezza Medicea in Siena hosts the spring opening of Vivi Fortezza, an initiative aimed at promoting historic town spaces through public events and cultural activities. The program blends live music, performances on the bastions and a wide selection of food offerings.

• April 30 – Opening at 17:00 with the Siena Mangiami street food festival. At Bastione San Domenico: Sofia (18:30), Palomar (post-rock, 19:30), Adj DJ set '80s (21:30) and an evening gathering in Piazzale della Libertà (22:30).
• May 1 – Daytime activities include giant chess and ping-pong matches (11:30), Zac circus school (16:00), and Swing Company dance lessons (16:30). Bandao performs from 17:30 across the fortress and Any Dance presents a break performance (18:00). Evening shows include The Big Benny Band (21:00) and headliner Brusco in the Piazzale della Libertà (22:00).
• May 2 – Bastione San Domenico hosts Bacino's "Lazydays" release party (18:30) and Selva Urbana (21:30). From 22:00 the Piazzale features the "2000 mania" party by Vanilla Disco.
• May 3 – Final day with street food, Paolo Belvedere's DJ set on the bastion (17:00), Cafè Mondongo (19:30) and closing concert by Casino Royale in the Piazzale della Libertà (22:00).
