Shades of Blue in Bergamo: highlights from the Museo del Calcio

From 23 to 27 March the foyer of Teatro Donizetti in Bergamo hosts Shades of Blue, the traveling exhibition that traces the history of Italy’s national teams through selected artifacts from the Museo del Calcio di Coverciano.

The display offers visitors the chance to revisit major national triumphs and see iconic pieces from the museum collection up close.

  • Venue: Foyer of Teatro Donizetti, Bergamo
  • Dates: 23–27 March
  • Admission: free

The opening ceremony is scheduled for Monday 23 at 16:30, with local officials and representatives of the Museo del Calcio foundation in attendance.

Exhibition highlights

On display are several emblematic items that mark the history of the national teams:

  • the match ball from the 2006 World Cup final;
  • international shirts worn by legends such as Dino Zoff, Roberto Baggio, Francesco Totti, Gigi Buffon, Alessandro Del Piero and others;
  • historic pennants, including the one from the 1968 European Championship final;
  • boots belonging to players like Paolo Rossi, Pietro Anastasi, Franco Causio and Andrea Pirlo.
