Selinunte: free entry and guided tours on the weekends of 25-26 April and 2-3 May 2026

Selinunte Archaeological Park, in Marinella di Castelvetrano (TP), offers free admission and a program of public activities across two consecutive weekends. The initiative includes archaeologist-led tours, bicycle itineraries, thematic walks and the first edition of the SELÌBRIA book fair for World Book Day.

Summary program

  • 25 April 2026: Sicilian publishers' stands; bike routes across the park; presentation of sculptural works by Stefano Bombardieri; guided tours by CoopCulture: "Selinunte highlights" at 10:30 (Eastern Hill, Baglio Florio and Acropolis with eco shuttles) and a temple walk at 11:30 with access to the antiquarium.
  • 26 April 2026: archaeologist-led visits to the Eastern Hill at 10:30 and 11:45 focusing on the quarry, construction techniques and stone block installation.
  • 2 May 2026: special visit to the fortified walls of the Acropolis at 10:30, featuring accessible passages and tunnels.
  • 3 May 2026: "Selinunte highlights" tour at 10:30 and Acropolis walls visit at 11:30 with entry to secret passages and observation of defensive slits.

Participation and tickets

Guided tours and activities are organized in collaboration with CoopCulture. For meeting points, precise schedules and reservations please check CoopCulture's official website. The Archeopass is available for visitors who plan to see both Selinunte and Segesta; it also provides reductions for some regional museums and exhibition spaces.
