The Sangiovese Festival takes place in the historic centre of San Giovanni Valdarno on 18 and 19 April 2026, celebrating the Sangiovese grape and its local expressions. The event highlights the borgo's public spaces with tastings, talks and live performances held in Piazza Cavour and Piazza Masaccio.

How it works

The format is straightforward: get a deposit glass and tasting tokens to sample the wines on offer and buy bottles directly from producers if you find something you like.

  • Tasting tokens: 10 tastings for €10
  • Entry: free even for non-tasters
