As part of the 34th edition of the FAI Spring Days, the Ducal Palace in San Marco la Catola will be open to the public for free guided tours. The event highlights one of the town's main monumental sites, now home to the Monti Dauni Library and spaces for social and cultural activities.
Locally referred to as the “Castle”, the complex dates back to the 13th century: originally built as a castrum, it is mentioned in medieval statutes and has been extended and adapted over time, becoming a symbol of noble residence. It remained property of the Pignatelli family until 1821 and is today preserved as a monument serving the community.
This event is recommended for visitors interested in local history, the library collection and the palace's contemporary role as a cultural hub. Check for any last-minute updates on schedules before attending.
