  • Opening hours: Tue–Sun 11:00 – 19:00
  • Venue: Docks Cantieri Cucchini, S. Pietro di Castello 40A, 30122 Venice (VE)
  • Curator: Ruel Caasi
  • Organisers: MUSE Science Museum Trento; Castel Belasi – Contemporary Art Center for Eco Thought
  • Related programme: artist masterclass and a dedicated publication

Description: "Luna" is a site‑specific exhibition in which Ronald Ventura presents newly created works tailored to the former shipyard setting. Using mixed media — oil painting, charcoal drawing, resin sculpture, Murano glass elements and video installations — Ventura draws a narrative thread between Venice and the Philippine fishing village of Malabon. The moon functions as a mythic and spiritual symbol linking the two communities, while water is examined both as a life source and as a threat, highlighting sea‑level rise and environmental fragility.

Why visit:

  • A site‑specific intervention that engages industrial heritage and the theme of water.
  • Multidisciplinary language combining painting, sculptural work and installation.
  • Timely reflection on climate change, memory and coastal resilience.

Practical info: the programme features public activities including a masterclass with the artist and a publication exploring the project. Check official channels for updates on special opening hours and events.
