Museum week in Rome: 13–19 March 2026

A varied cultural programme animates Rome's museums and archaeological sites. Between 13 and 19 March you'll find book launches, guided visits, film screenings and city itineraries promoted by Roma Capitale and the Capitoline Superintendence for Cultural Heritage.

• 13 March, 5:00 PM — Museo di Roma at Palazzo Braschi: presentation of a volume on Carlo Maratti's graphic work, with contributions from art historians and the book's authors.
• 14 March — Casa Museo Alberto Moravia: guided tours of the apartment on Lungotevere della Vittoria where the writer lived; 8:30 PM — Casa del Cinema: screening of The Florida Project as part of the Lei e altre series, linked to the Lanterne magiche photo exhibition at Museo Carlo Bilotti.
• 15 March — Capitoline Museums: guided visits to the exhibition La Grecia a Roma at Villa Caffarelli; the exhibition Cartier and the Myth is also open until 15 March, contrasting jewelry with classical sculpture.
• 19 March — Museo di Roma at Palazzo Braschi: event in the Roma Racconta... cycle focused on the experience of the Roman Summer cultural project; 19 March — Museo di Roma in Trastevere: the Le parole delle scrittrici series features a talk on Elsa Morante's novel La Storia.
• Other activities: visits to the Roman Forums, an archaeological itinerary to the Ninfeo degli Annibaldi, cultural walks and museum-guided routes. The Rome Planetarium continues its family-friendly shows such as Return to the Stars, Interstellar and Space Opera.
