Rocca di Papa: the Forest Open-Air Museum

From 25 April to 25 October 2026, the woodland linking Monte Cavo and the historic Via Sacra is transformed into an open-air exhibition. The initiative places contemporary artworks in direct conversation with the forest environment to promote sustainable enjoyment of the territory.

• Food area at the Baita di Monte Cavo offering typical Castelli Romani dishes (open Friday, Saturday, Sunday and public holidays; hours may vary).
• Free admission throughout the event period.

Practical information

The route follows forest trails: wear appropriate footwear, bring water and sun protection. The artworks are designed to integrate with the ecosystem; follow signage and avoid leaving waste. Check rental and food area hours before visiting.

Via Sacra, 00040 Rocca di Papa (RM). The trail crosses the Parco dei Castelli Romani between Monte Cavo and the Via Sacra and is accessible via local hiking paths.
