About the exhibition

UNISON is Rita Sabo's solo project that presents culture as a network of resonances rather than a linear historical sequence. The artist juxtaposes fifteen cultural formations — from Sumerian and Egyptian to Maya, Celtic and Buddhist/Taoist traditions — highlighting cross-influences and shared symbolic languages.

Exhibition layout

• Entrance hall: eight large paintings creating an interdimensional resonance field with fractal figures and coded symbols.
• Second room (overlooking the Grand Canal): major civilizations woven with mythological and cosmic references; the work Sacred Planet serves as a focal point.
• Third room: black-and-white environment with lenticular prints and archetypal sketches; a color version of Sacred Planet links to the Sustainable Development Goals.
• Final environment: immersive multisensory installation with projections, sound and scents that transform perception into a cognitive tool.

Curators and awards

The show is curated by Tayfun Belgin and presented within Personal Structures – Confluences 2026 by the European Cultural Center Italy. At the opening, Rita Sabo will receive the European Cultural Center Italy Special Award "Artist as Activist".
