Rocca di Vicopisano Monumental Complex Reopens

On Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 March 2026 the fortified complex in Vicopisano — including the Rocca, the Tower and the Camminamento del Soccorso — will be open again for guided tours. The route highlights architectural and defensive features associated with Filippo Brunelleschi's designs, offering visitors a direct encounter with the area's historical fabric and panoramic views.

• Opening hours: Saturday 28 March 15:30–19:00; Sunday 29 March 10:00–12:30 and 15:00–19:00.
• Tickets: available at Palazzo Pretorio, via del Pretorio.
• Guides: tours led by the Gruppo Culturale Ippolito Rosellini, under the coordination of Giovanni Ranieri Fascetti.

The itinerary includes stairs and elevated walkways. Wear comfortable shoes and allow time to climb and enjoy the views. The visit is ideal for those who want to learn about the site's defensive history and see the village from its historic walls.
