Nina Vazzano, a former teacher at Istituto Superiore Salerno, presented a solo painting exhibition in the school's Relax room. The show features fourteen works that investigate feminine themes and was open to both the school community and the wider public.
The paintings include portraits and female figures rendered in a harmonious palette, emphasizing expressive details and evocative atmospheres. Subjects range from rural women and dancers to mythical, mermaid-like figures that convey beauty and mystery.
For the artist, recently retired after a long teaching career, the exhibition was a meaningful return home, an opportunity to share creations born in a domestic studio — often improvised in the kitchen — with colleagues, former students and local residents.
The initiative attracted visitors during school hours and in the evening, including participants in the adult education course and local citizens. School leadership highlighted the exhibition's role in promoting the institution as a cultural hub, noting that teaching an appreciation of beauty contributes to the growth of younger generations.
Although hosted within the school, the exhibition served as a public invitation to engage with contemporary painting and to strengthen links between educational spaces and the community.
