The European Academy of Enterprises (AdIE) has finalized the leadership of the National Observatory on Territorial Identities (ONIT), naming Reggio Calabria as its national headquarters. The centre aims to promote and safeguard the historical, landscape and demo‑ethno‑anthropological features of local communities.
The directorship has been entrusted to Dr. Grazia Gioè, who will lead the research centre alongside three experienced members: Dr. Ettore Rositani, Prof. Caterina Capponi and Dr. Luca Pascali.
The AdIE national board, chaired by Giuseppe Ariobazzani, says the Observatory will turn the valorisation of local roots into concrete strategic projects. Main goals include:
The appointment of Dr. Gioè is presented as a decision to ensure professional competence and scientific rigour. ONIT is intended to become a national reference point for protecting and promoting Italian identity, with a focus on Calabria's rich historical and cultural assets.
In the coming months the Observatory is expected to start research activities, archival work on local practices and projects aimed at boosting tourism and the local economy.
