Reggio Calabria: Metropolitan City launches 2026 grants for Municipalities and Third Sector

The Metropolitan City of Reggio Calabria has published two separate public calls for the allocation of 2026 grants, addressed respectively to the municipalities in its territory and to cultural associations and non-profit third sector organizations.

Purpose: to support projects that foster social cohesion, enhance tangible and intangible heritage, and stimulate local economic development through cultural initiatives and civic participation.

• Beneficiaries: Municipalities within the Metropolitan City; cultural associations and non-profit third sector entities.
• Intervention lines: two distinct notices tailored to different needs and applicants, with evaluation criteria focused on social impact and project quality.
• Volunteerism: the calls include an evaluation criterion aligned with “2026 – International Year of Volunteers for Sustainable Development,” acknowledging the role of volunteers in sustainable development and protection of local identities.
• How to consult & deadline: the notices are available on the Metropolitan City’s online registry and institutional website and can be consulted until 4 May 2026.

Officials say the initiative aims to strengthen the Metropolitan City’s role as a guiding and coordinating body by promoting integrated cultural policies that value social capital and encourage active citizen involvement.
