Period: from 5 March to 23 July 2026, every Thursday.
The Archaeological Park of Pompeii presents the fifth edition of "Telling the Work Sites", a programme of guided visits that allows visitors to observe ongoing maintenance, enhancement and restoration activities in sites across Pompeii, Torre Annunziata and Castellammare di Stabia. The initiative provides access to areas not usually open to the public and offers direct interaction with archaeologists, conservators, architects and engineers working on the projects.
How to book: visits must be booked according to the calendar by emailing [email protected] by 14:00 on the day before the chosen date. Each group is limited to 20 people per turn. Priority is given to holders of the My Pompeii card. The schedule may change; check the Park's official website before attending.
Note: items marked with * denote special interventions or locations subject to logistical changes. Before attending, download the visitor guide and site map from the Park's official website and verify any updates to locations or times.
Why attend: the programme offers a rare chance to learn about excavation and conservation practices, meet the specialists involved and see areas and finds that are normally inaccessible.
